similarly, it seems to trivialize fiction
to say that the events or characters in it never existed,
even though that’s the pretense
a reader of fiction should already have
(otherwise she would be reading non-fiction).
i am not making any of this up;
only giving new names to what already exists.

i’m not trying to convince you of anything;
all of this is untruth.
