Excerpt from novel: with Abandon
She loves me.
i’ve never questioned that.
and Our love didn’t die,
like those persons’ who say love fades or dies.
maybe though, it filled up the entire house,
wriggled into ceiling cracks and empty sockets,
through plumbing tubes and wiring fixtures.
it spread through us and everything else;
stretched itself too thin.
it was the same love,
the same amount of love,
and growing, at that,
filling every empty space in the house
until it stretched out the windows
and wrapped itself across the planet
until its fingertips meet each other over the mediterranean.
maybe it sort of
dissipated,
which is different from
disappeared.
our love spanned the earth
but was too thin to breathe.
